Physical Treatment
Physical treatment is carried out in order to remove the floating substances in the wastewater and the solids that can settle on their own. Equipment used for this purpose; grids and sieves, sand and grease traps.
In general, physical treatment systems are used at the beginning of biological or chemical treatment plants. In this way, it will be possible to remove most of the pollutants in the wastewater.
Chemical Treatment
In the chemical treatment process, as a result of adding chemical substances (coagulant, polyelectrolyte, etc.) to the waste water at appropriate pH values, the pollutants are precipitated and separated from the water in the form of sludge. Applications; neutralization, flocculation and coagulation.
Neutralization: It is the process of adding acid or base in order to adjust the appropriate pH value of acidic and basic wastewater.
