WATER SOFTENING SYSTEMS

They are systems that reduce hardness by removing Calcium (Ca+2) and Magnesium (Mg+2) ions, which cause hardness in water. The devices defined as a water softener or softening systems take the mentioned ions from the water by exchanging ions with the sodium form resins in them.

Hardness in water causes severe problems in machines, installations and steam boilers working with water. Accordingly, they cause an increase in energy consumption and a decrease in efficiency.

Water Softening Systems regenerate themselves by absorbing saltwater at specific intervals according to the design. Thus, they become clean again by throwing the calcium and magnesium ions that they absorb from the water into the discharge line.

Water Softener Systems can be structural with FRP tank and steel tank. These are determined at the design stage depending on the flow requirement and the hardness of the water. In addition, as a working principle;

  • Time Controlled
  • Flow Controlled
  • Tandem  (Twin)

They can be grouped as above.
